We are staying in slightly less opulent surroundings but share the same beautiful weather and beaches. In fact we prefer to live amongst the Thai people and learn about their culture rather than spend our time with the expats watching Premier League football and moaning about the old country.
We are working on our Thai but doubt we will ever master the Sanskrit text. Fortunately everyone has a little English. We have now accepted that everywhere we go we will be called ‘Mama and Papa’ in deference to our age.
